It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dita Macháčková, Head of the Department of Languages and our long-standing colleague, who devoted more than 20 years of her professional life to our Faculty.
Dita had a profound affection for the Czech language and was particularly committed to our international students, supporting them with great enthusiasm. She was always looking for new ways to make her lessons more engaging, enjoyable and accessible. Her work was shaped not only by her knowledge and experience, but also by her warmth and wholehearted commitment.

She was actively involved in a number of projects focused on supporting, developing and enhancing the quality of teaching. She was never short of new ideas and was always keen to bring fresh energy to her lessons. Dita will be remembered for her laughter, creativity and boundless energy. We will miss her not only as our leader and colleague, but above all as a friend with whom we shared many years of the joys and challenges of working life.
In quiet remembrance, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family.
