We are pleased to invite you to the 4th Annual Charity Run – Memorial of Doc. Pavel Fiala, organized by the international students’ association PilsMed together with the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen and the Hospice of St. Lazarus.
The run is dedicated to the memory of Doc. Pavel Fiala, former Vice-Dean of LFP for English-taught programs and a beloved anatomy teacher. It was established in 2022 by international students of the faculty who wished to honor his legacy and bring the academic community together in support of a good cause. This year, for the first time, the run is also open to the public, so you are welcome to invite your family and friends to join.
When: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
Where: Plzeň, Bory (Borský) park (Start/Finish: map link)
How: The run takes place on the oval track in Borský park for the duration of one hour; the number of completed laps is counted.
Schedule:
- 15:30 – Distribution of starting numbers
- 16:00 – Start of the run
- 17:00 – End of the run
- 17:20 – Announcement of winners
Categories: Men/Women, up to 40 years (inclusive) / 41+
Entry fee: 200 CZK (capacity limited to 100 participants)
Registration: until October 10 at behyprohospice.cz
All participants will receive a certificate of participation, and winners will be awarded prizes.
All proceeds from the entry fee will be donated to the Hospice of St. Lazarus in Pilsen. If you do not wish or are not able to run, you are still warmly encouraged to come, remember our colleague and teacher, and support a good cause! You can also choose to walk the route symbolically.
