Professor Kari Hemminki, a world-renowned researcher in the field of cancer epidemiology and genetic risk factors that joined the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen (LFP) in 2019, was awarded an honorary doctorate of Charles University on Tuesday 4 March 2025. As holder of the prestigious ERA Chair position in the Chaperon project for excellence in oncology, he has developed cutting-edge research in this field at LFP. He founded and leads the Laboratory of Translational Genomics in Cancer at our Biomedical Center. Congratulations on this prestigious award!
