Current information about the study valid from 22nd of October 2020
The newly announced goverment resolutions (available from the following link: https://www.vlada.cz/cz/media-centrum/aktualne/vysledky-jednani-vlady-21--rijna-2020-184363/) do not affect university studies. This information was confirmed by the Department of Universities of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
The originally announced government resolutions remain effective (Government Resolution No. 1022 as amended by Government Resolution No. 1074).
For clarity, we attach current measures (as amended from the UK website) below:
Based on Resolution No. 1074 of the Government of the Czech Republic of 19th of October 2020, the personal presence of students at classes during university teaching is prohibited with effect from 21 October 2020 from 00:00. The same applies to participants in lifelong learning courses.
This prohibition does not apply to the participation in clinical and practical teaching and practice of students in the study programs of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other medical study programs, and students performing pedagogical practical training and practice in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools; or school facilities for the performance of institutional and protective education. Furthermore, this prohibition does not apply to the holding of examinations for up to 10 people.
Individual consultations can only be held remotely.
Current organization of teaching at the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen:
- All teaching of the 1st - 5th year takes place remotely
- Internships of the 6th year continue in full-time form
- Practical teaching takes place at the patient's chair in the field of Dentistry, if the student is not in quarantine or COVID positive
- Exams, including state exams, take place in person
